Founded in the year 1995, ChEA is a proud golden child of the chemical engineering department. It is a formal student body efficiently working towards the development and efficient industry-student interaction. Apart from encouraging teamwork and co-ordination between the students, it also brings out individual managerial shills and organizational capabilities. Interaction with fellow chemical engineers of the country has always been the main focus of ChEA. Thus the programme, "Cheminar", a national level paper presentation contest. Mainly the students manage this technical symposium with the funds obtained from various industries. The most gala time for the students comes during Cheminar, where they not only organize but also enjoy the function. It is nothing less than a festive mood during Cheminar. ChEA members take great honor in carrying out and involving themselves in mutifaceted activities that the association involves itself in. This year too Cheminar 2001 saw a pot-pourie of activities along with the paper presentation contest. Around 50 delegates from different parts of the country took part. ChEA also comes out with an annual magazine which includes a host of technical & non technical articles along with the advertisements of all the sponsors. President: Basavaraj G.B.
