The LEO Club

The LEO club was founded in Manipal in 19__. LEO stands for "Leadership Experience Opportunity" and seeks to bring out these qualities in the youth. LEO club is an extension of the International Lions Association and is affiliated to the Udupi Lions club. LEO club serves the society. The services conducted this year include
  • Hepatitis-B vaccination camp
  • Blood donation camp
  • Visits to orphanage and old age homes
They conducted an orientation programme for the first year which was inspiration provoking. It familiarized the freshmen with the M.I.T. college traditions. The meetings conducted include the official visit of the LEO distinct president of the home district. Due to their exceptional hard work under the guidance of the honorable President, the rotaract club of Manipal has been able to come into the top three in the zone.

Along with work LEO also believed in fun and organized parties held in SPHINX and Malpe. Over all every Rotarian had the best time in all that he did, be it in social service or in the casual workarounds. The Rotarians have always been responsible to the M.I.T. students making it their obligation to keep the students safe from all kinds of epidemics, by vaccinating the students. Service to others has always been their motto and it will remain in all the ages to come
