The Department of Placement and Training acts as a liaison to promote interaction with the various industries. It arranges vacation training for students in various industries throughout the country. It also endeavors to put its alumni in touch with prospective employers, by arranging recruitment tests/interviews at the campus. The Department also conducts Entrepreneurship Development Programmes for promoting and encouraging self-employment among the outgoing students. The Institute has a plan to establish an Industry-Institute Interaction Cell and a Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Park (STEP).
